When the sun is shining and you’re in the area, head to Caravan, where the vibe is artsy, the food is rustic and where you’ll be sure to bump into some creative folk.
Earlier today, one headed to Caravan for coffee, and ended up ordering pancakes too; buttermilk pancakes to be exact, with banana, cameral, pecans and mascarpone; the perfect saturday treat.
Caravan is one of few coffee establishments in London in which i can recall making a perfect coffee. Granted, i’ve only ever tried their cappuccino’s, however, my pet-peeve is a cappuccino which is in fact, not one; therefore, if you want something which tastes like what you order, then take on board my personal recommendation.
The pancakes are large and fluffy, the atmosphere is buzzing and the presentation is both rustic and a little refined. Water is on tap, pardon the pun, and the student-based staff are attentive as well as relatively happy most of the time. We have however, had the mishap of been given cold poached eggs; not the highlight of brunch, however, one mistake is not enough to keep me away just yet.Breakfast, Brunch and Dinners at Caravan Kings Cross: ——————
